Joy Rosemary (Winter) Alexander, age 80, of Jackson, passed away on January 14, 2022 from complications of Covid-19.
On February 1, 1941, Joy Alexander was born in Tottenham, Middlesex, England. She was adopted by Ambrose George Winter and Edith Rose Winter on September 17, 1941. On November 5, 2019, she obeyed the gospel and was a member of Pleasant Plains Church of Christ. She loved her daughters, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren and was active in their lives as time and health permitted. She doted on her cat, Winston.
Joy is survived by her four daughters and their partners, Moya (Dunham) Nash, Jayne (Dunham) Southern, Kay (Alexander) Breiner, and Cheryl (Alexander) Davis.
She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Heather (Nash) Purtee, Amanda (Nash) Engel, William Nash, Robby Scott, Jennifer (Scott) Sisk, Misty (Scott) Cruse, Adam Krug, Ashley Krug, Nick English, Lauren English, Stacey Lambert, Brandon Davis; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Two life-long friends survive, Sylvia Diment and Mary Jane Moloney.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a beloved daughter, Patricia (Alexander) English.
A memorial service will be held at Medina Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 2 PM.
