Mrs. MaryAnn Chamness, age 82 of Gadsden, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born on July 7, 1939 in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska to the late August Garcia and Juanita Huerta Garcia.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. MaryAnn was preceded in death by her husband, William Ellis Chamness; two brothers, Richard Garcia and Danny Garcia; and sister, Delores Rameriz.

She is survived by five daughters, Tina Peacock (Bobby) of Georgia, Jeanette Suter (Ken) of Georgia, Connie Tinker (Tracy) of Gadsden, Tennessee, Pamela Hatcher (Richard) of Lavinia, Tennessee, and June Chamness of Arkansas; two sisters, Nadine Dilts of Texas and Terri Clausen (Mike) of Arizona; and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home.
