Mr. William Alton Davis, Jr., "Bill", age 74 of Atwood, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, in AHC McKenzie.
He was born August 6, 1949, in Detroit, MI to the late William Alton Davis, Sr. and Sue Schrader Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired civil draftsman and had worked on such projects as the Carroll County 1000 Acre Recreational Lake. Previously in his career, he was a sewing machine mechanic and worked at the Milan Shirt Factory. He taught computer aided drafting and design at TCAT, Jackson where he himself had graduated from years ago. Mr. Davis was a huge NASCAR fan and was a NASCAR diecast collector. He was a devout Christian and Seven Day Adventist. Mr. Davis lived by and through his faith in God. Mr. Davis was head deacon at Leach Seven Day Adventist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by by his wife, Judy Smith Davis and a brother, Jerry Davis.
Survivors include, two sons, Chad Davis and wife Amanda of McKenzie and William Eric Davis of Atwood. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Alan Davis, Victoria Davis and Addison Davis as well as on great grandson, Brayden Davis.
A small celebration of life will be held graveside on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Leach Seven Day Adventist Church Cemetery.
