Mr. “Bill” William Cub Bishop age 91 of Medina, TN is in the care of Medina Funeral Home where services will be conducted 11 am Thursday February 23 with Rev. Tim Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Camden City Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bill was born September 13, 1925 in Carroll Co., TN to the late Teb and Mary Bishop. He departed this life February 20, 2017 at his home in Medina, TN.
Mr. Bill was a mainstay and long time employee of Replogle Lawrence Funeral Home, working with the late Jimmy Lawrence for over 50 years until his passing in 2016. Mr. Bill often dug cemetery graves by hand for a mere 10.00, he setup tents and would spend the night at the funeral home when a community family member had passed away.
In addition to his parents his wife; Vera Bishop preceded him in death and a daughter; Sue Bishop James.
Mr. Bill is survived by his children; Billy Bishop, Jerry Bishop, Wayne Bishop, Larry Bishop, Jacky Bishop, Paul Bishop, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grand children, 2 great great grandchildren
