Bythia Faye (Taylor) Perkins

Jackson, TN - Funeral services for Ms. Bythia Perkins, age 71, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Beech Bluff Pentecostal Church with Bro. Curtis Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Nebo Cemetery. Visitation with the Perkins family will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the church and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Ms. Perkins died Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

She was born December 15, 1943 to the late Asa and Inez Taylor. Born and raised in Jackson, she attended Beech Bluff school and had many friends. On July 24, 1959 she married Billy Boyd Perkins and to that union was born six children. Together, Bythia and Billy owned and operated Perkins Upholstery. Bythia also worked at Intricare Nursing Home and helped take care of children. She was a member of Beech Bluff Pentecostal Church and in 2007 she received the Cornerstone Award.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy; son, Gregory Bill Perkins; brother, Lynn Taylor; sisters, Melba Parham, Joann Holloway, Dorothy Key.

She is survived by five children, Tony Perkins (Ann), Cindy Purvis (John), Lorri Brown (Joe), Kim Heimbach (Harlen), Miranda Sanders (James); eleven grandchildren whom she loved dearly, William Perkins, Rachel Closs, John Purvis, Jr., Katrina Vann, J.P. Brown, Celia Hanson, Brad Heimbach, Alex Sanders, Asa Sanders, Abby Sanders, Jason Sanders; adopted grandchild, Kelly Rouse; nine great-grandchild, Kessy, Josh, John, Jasmine, Savanna, Allysa, Elizabeth, Ethan, Jericho; two brothers, Lenoard Taylor (Dixie), Travis Taylor (Debbie); sister-in-law, Mary Taylor.

Bythia Perkins was a wonderful person, a loving mother and touched many lives. She will be greatly missed.
