Charles Vernon Mallady

Charles “Chuck” Mallady, age 89, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Florida.

He was born on November 30, 1933 in Huffman, Arkansas to the late Vernon Mallady and Carrie Dell Mallady.

Chuck proudly served in the United States Army. He was devoted to his faith as a christian and to his family. He enjoyed riding motorcylces and airplanes as a pilot. Chuck was a wonderful father. He loved his family, friends and church. He was always there and willing to help anyone.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard Mallady, Larry Mallady, Roger Mallady and Dale Mallady and one sister, Doris Campbell.

He is survived by two daughters, Fran Erdle and her husband David of Palm Harbor, Florida and Kim Gray and her husband Tom of Jackson, Tennessee; three sisters, Pauline Mallady of Millington, Tennessee, Linda Delong of Millington, Tennessee and Diane Elliot and her husband Bobby of Millington, Tennessee; and brother-in-law, Bob Campbell of Laramie, Wyoming.

Other survivors include three grandchildren, Bentley Gray of Jackson, Tennessee, Nicholas Cloonen and his wife Jessica of Oldsmar, Florida and Ronnie Hopkins of Jackson, Tennessee and four great grandchildren, Emma Cloonen, Ava Cloonen, Whitley Hopkins and Lillie Hopkins.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home with Glen Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery in Milan.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
