Mr. Charles Ray Owens, age 75, departed this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on September 24, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Charles D. Owens and Eva Wilshire. He served twenty seven years in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, Mr Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Owens and sister, Doris Pleasant.

Mr. Charles is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Janet Owens of Jackson, Tennessee; two daughters, Meredith Gatlin (Jeff) of Jackson, Tennessee and Cindy Emison (Jeff Mason) of Jackson, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Tyler Lira, Brayden Lira, Ryan Lira, Megan Emison and Kristen Emison; six great grandchildren, Susannah, Aubri, Cj, Gavin, Addie and Kenleigh; and cousin, Royce Sullivan (Sylvia).

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
