Robert Christopher “Chris” Hilliard

Chris Hilliard, age 51, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on June 4, 1971 in Jackson, Tennessee to Robert O. Hilliard and Amy Ruth Hilliard.
Chris worked nine years as a dispatcher for the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. He had a great passion for music and enjoyed building guitars and bass. Music was something that Chris and his son, Adam, enjoyed together. They played together in several praise bands throughout the years. One of Adam’s fondest memories was playing the drums while his dad played guitar.

Chris was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Mertell.

He is survived by his parents, Robert O. Hilliard and Amy Ruth Hilliard of Jackson, Tennessee; son, Adam Christopher Hilliard (Kendra) of Jackson, Tennessee; sister, Lori Paul (Larry) of Jackson, Tennessee; and nieces, Miriah Smith of Memphis, Tennessee and Meagan Mertell of Memphis, Tennessee.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 4, 2022 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home with Mike Johnson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the service hour.
