Mrs. Colleen Grey Stephens Weatherford, age 97, passed away on March 16, 2023.

A funeral service for Mrs. Weatherford will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Mt. Tabor Church, where she was a lifetime member and faithfully served in various roles for more than fifty years. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. and again on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour.

Mrs. Weatherford was born February 22, 1926 in Caruthersville, Missouri to the late Rainey and Edith Stephens. She has one brother, Vaughn Stephens of Springville, Tennessee and a sister, Betty Jean Bivens of Paris, Tennessee.

Colleen married James Walter Weatherford on January 21, 1942 and they celebrated their seventy-seventh wedding anniversary just before his death on February 6, 2018.

James and Colleen were blessed with six children, Beverly Carol (Henry) Boyd, Donna Elizabeth (Benjamin) Kennedy, Stephen Berry (JoNell) Weatherford, David Neal (Donna Kay) Weatherford, Danny Lee (Teresa Carol) Weatherford, and Chris Alan (Ruth Elaine) Weatherford. She was also blessed with a host of grandchildren, great children, and great-great grandchildren.
