Cristy Emison
Mrs. Cristy Elaine Skipper Emison, age 44 of Alamo, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 in Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born July 26, 1975 in Jackson to Gary and Brenda Smith Skipper. Cristy attended Jackson State Community College and later the University of Memphis where she received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She worked as a social worker until becoming a full time mom.
Cristy enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was a leader with Alamo Troop 53. Cristy and Greg were heavily involved in the scouts with their son Sam. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norman Edward Skipper, Annie Margret Skipper, Fred Smith and Geraldine Smith.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-two years, Greg Emison; son, Sam Emison; parents, Gary and Brenda Smith Skipper; sister, Katy McAnulty and husband Johnathan; fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law, Jerry and Kathy Hughes and Phil and Peggy Emison; brother-in-law, Darin Emison and wife Kimberly; sisters-in-law, Krystle Pierce and Hayley Emison; her loving canine companion, Frannie as well as several nieces and nephews.
