David Mcrae

Mr. David Glenn McRae age 59 of Evensville,Tennessee,  passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Mr. McRae proudly served his country for six years in the United States Navy, he enlisted in April 18, 1980. He served aboard the USS Midway with the Fighter Squadron VF 161 Chargers while it was home ported in Yokosuka, Japan, from 1980 through 1982. David was then stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, from there he was stationed in NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

David was a member of the American Legion Post 90 of Decatur.

He was born on December 1, 1961 in Jackson, Tennessee to the late William McRae and Jettie Mae Shields McRae.

In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Mary McRae of Evensville; son, David (Dusty) McRae Jr. of Ramer, Tennessee;  four daughters, Courtney McRae of Jackson, Tennessee, Jessica Lewis of Dayton, Tennessee, Destiny Lewis of Evensville, Tennessee and Libby Dautherty of Graysville, Tennessee; two sisters, Wanda Armstrong of Luray, Tennessee and Debra Jines of Spring City, Tennessee. Other survivors include several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Toone, Tennessee with Military Honors.
