Don Lloyd age 78 was born February 7, 1936 in Milan, TN. He passed March 10, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Don graduated Milan High School Class of 1954. He served two years in the U.S. Army and spent one year in Seoul, South Korea. He started working at 8 years old in a grocery store, a setting where he would spend most of his life. He worked with E. W James Grocery Stores in Milan and Humboldt as a Meat Cutter and Market Manager before retiring at the age of 73. Don was always an active person. He enjoyed attending church regularly and passed the time caring for his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents; Lester and Jewell Lloyd.
Don leaves his wife of 50½ years Irene Lloyd, his children; Clayton Lloyd and his fiancé Danita Siddon of Memphis, Amanda Lloyd Davenport of Jackson, Grandsons; Dustin Nichols and Seth Nichols
Funeral services are 1 pm Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from the Gregory’s Chapel Assembly of God, Humboldt, TN with Pastor Bill McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Gadsden, TN.
Visitation is 4-7 pm Tuesday at Medina Funeral Home.
