Donnie Ray Stephens ,from Dyer, TN, passed away Tuesday February 5, 2019 in the Dyer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Donnie was born in Dyer, TN on February 24, 1943 to the late Walter Rufus Stephens and Bessie Mae (Cowan) Stephens. Many different families in the Gibson County TN area have fond memories of Donnie, and remember him as a devoted father, a hard worker no matter what he was doing, and always very kind and thoughtful. Just ask the 14 Langston children of Dyer, TN. In addition to his parents Donnie was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Marie Stephens Pruett. Donnie is survived by his sons, Micheal Lynn Stephens and Jason Lee Stephens, his Daughter-in-Law Charity Jeanne (Carroll Duncan) Stephens, his grandchildren; William Jacob, Phoebe Jean, Logan Isaac, and Kylee Rae all of Dyer, TN, and his brother Ellie Rufus Stephens of Rutherford, TN. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday March 2, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 3 Homer Craig Rd. Humboldt, TN. Pastor Stephen Skelton of Immanuel Baptist Church in Trenton, TN will be speaking.
