Mrs. Dottie Price, age 69, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her home in Cedar Grove.

She was born on December 20, 1955 in Trezevant to the late George Reed and Marie Hayes. Dottie was a tender soul, who put others needs ahead of her own. A homemaker, she spent early years finding a love for painting, flower gardening, tending to farm animals, and for country music, especially George Strait. She had a deep love for animals, feeding the birds, squirrels and admiring the butterflies but especially loved dogs and the chihuahua breed and raised many throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her favorite chi, Lil Bit. She had an unwavering belief in God, loved watching the Swaggarts ministry/music, and rests in the arms of Jesus now.

In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Smith.

She is survived by her husband Warren Price of Cedar Grove; daughter, Lorraine Turner of Jackson; three brothers, Ronnie Reed of Lexington, Bobby Reed of Lavinia and James Smith of Trezevant; and one sister, Patricia Smith.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 P.M.on Saturday, March 22nd at New Independence Church 4495 McLemoresville Rd Huntington, TN 38344. There will not be an official graveside service but she will be laid to rest at Cool’s Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery 155 Little Grove Rd Lavinia, TN 38348.

Flowers or gifts can be sent to Medina Funeral Home until Friday the 21st or can be sent to the church the day of the celebration. Any donations in her name can be sent to the Jimmy Swaggart ministry or any animal rescue organization.
