Edwin Jones, age 61, left this life on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on September 25, 1961 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Alvin and Noel (Nicki) Jones. He was a Marine Corp veteran and was employed at Ferro Corporation in Evansville for eighteen years.

Edwin was able to help fourteen individuals as a registered donor after the time of his death.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Toby Jones.

Edwin is survived by his partner, Sue Jones Doolin of Trenton, Tennessee; brother, Clyde Jones (Margaret) of Van Buren, Arkansas; sister, Star Smith (Tim) of Evansville, Indiana; and three children, Daryl Jones (Christina Hernandez) of Jackson, Tennessee, Amanda Wadley (Josh) of Trenton, Tennessee and Brittney Grooms (Josh Armor) of Jackson, Tennessee.
Other survivors include his granddaughters, who were the joys of his life, Elly Jo Grooms and Lily Lynn Jones; eight nieces and nephews; and four great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Edwin to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
