Gary E. Koon, of Fulton, KY is in the care of Medina Funeral Home. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Gary was born December 28, 1946 in Crittenden County, KY and departed this life September 12, 2016 at Diversicare of Martin (TN). He was preceded in death by his father; Richard Koon, and daughter; Madonna Kay Koon.
Gary enjoyed his time spent driving truck for various mining/rock quarry companies. He was a kind-hearted father, grandfather, great-grandfather…overall, a great and loving family man. Besides his dog and faithful companion, Gizmo, he also had a passion for UK Basketball.
He is survived by his mother; Geraldine “Dina” Koon, Salem, KY, sons; Dale (Resa) Koon, O’Fallon, MO and Terry (Rita) Koon, Martin, TN, grandson; Hunter Cannon, Martin, TN, granddaughters; Amy (Dustin) Sutton and Christina (Niko Sudzom) Koon, both of Dresden, TN and Madison Koon, Martin, TN, six great-grandchildren, sister; Janice Koon and brothers; Mike, Pat, & Allen Koon, all of Kentucky, and the mother of his children, Carolyn Koon, Mattoon, IL.
