Harold Clifton Graves, Jr.
Cliffie to family and friends was the youngest child of Harold, Sr. & Sheila K. Graves of Medina, Tennessee.
Scott was Cliffie’s older brother and best friend. What fun they both had when they got together. They grew up in the San Diego area with a real love for the ocean and of course music. Cliff’s love of music was well known to all of his family and friends. He got his first guitar and started lessons at age five. He played for his and our entertainment but also in our church choir.
When we left California and moved to Tennessee he was a high school junior, Cliffie fell in love with the land. He explored every square inch of the farm, fields, ditches and gullies and was in heaven when he was on the mower.
After graduating from North Side High School in Jackson, Tennessee he attended Full Sail University, school for Media Arts – Audio Engineering Program, in Winter Park, Florida where he earned an Associate of Science Degree in Recording Arts.
When he returned from Florida to Tennessee he worked different jobs while he played in a band, “Foggy Bottom” with three dear friends, traveling around the country to different venues. They didn’t make much money but they did have a good time.
For five years he also worked on various private yachts, with his brother. He started in the laundry but before it was over, he was the First Officer of Motor Yacht Seascape. Based in New York harbor where the owner was a big time attorney. The owners used the boat on weekends and for short vacations in the Caribbean area.
After sewing some wild oats, he married his childhood sweetheart, Nikol Acevedo, and they settled in White House, Tennessee where they purchased their first house.
He could understand, speak, read and and write Spanish as well as he could English. He amazed his teachers with his grasp of the foreign language. In addition to his love of music, he also loved playing disk golf and fishing.
He loved life and loved everyone he encountered leaving nothing but happiness in his wake. Nobody ever worked harder than Cliff or loved more deeply. When Cliff walked into the room it was as if a floodlight was suddenly turned on.
When we moved to the country, Cliffie fell in love with the land. He explored every square inch of the farm, fields, ditches and gullies and was in heaven when he was on the mower. You will be sorely missed my sweet Cliffie.
