- Herbert confessed his life to Christ at Brooks Chapel Church of God In Christ where he was a faithful member until his departure from his earthly home. He was a man of many talents and trades. A kind and loving man, a couple of his favorite things to do was landscaping and making others smile. Herbert was an active Deacon at his church, a faithful choir member and the church van driver.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, two daughters, Samantha Moore and Ayana Moore; two sisters, Dora York and Loise Burns; three brothers, James Earl Horton, Willie Lee York and Eddie York Jr. Herbert also leaves one granddaughter, E’amir Parram as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and beloved coworkers whom loved him dearly.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Herbert Beard, Jr. will be conducted on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home with Elder Eugene Anderson officiating with cremation to follow. The Beard family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
