James Ashland Daugherty

James Daugherty, age 66, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at his home in Michie, Tennessee.

He was born on July 18, 1956 in Pawpaw, Kentucky to the late James F. Daugherty and Ada Pearl Cole.
James was a decorated musician and opened for many artists such as, Vince Gill, Kentucky Headhunters, Travis Tritt, Sawyer Brown and Beliamy Brothers. He taught all three of his children to love music just as much as he did. He was a devoted grandfather to eight grandchildren and had a great love for the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He could not take living without his beloved wife, of fifty four years, so after six days of her passing, the Lord called him home to join her in heaven.

James is survived by his son, Kurt Daugherty (Nick Scott); two daughters, Kimberly Scott and Devon Hoffman; brother, Doug Daugherty; sister, Judy Burgess; and eight grandchildren.
