James Ricky Deaton
Services for Ricky Deaton will be held at 3:00, February 18, 2015, at Malesus United Methodist Church with Rev. John Kilzer officiating. Ricky passed away on February 13, 2015, at his home.
A native of Jackson, Tennessee, he was born on July 13, 1957, the son of Frieda Deaton and the late James R. Deaton, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Vicki Deaton, two daughters, Katie and Bonnie, two sons Pearce (Amanda) father of granddaughter Conley and Spence Deaton, a sister Loret Evans (Dylan and Jim nephews), brother David Deaton (Charity) Alison Deaton (niece), Will Deaton (nephew), Jace Deaton (great nephew), step nephew Collin Long, and step nieces, Cristen and Cadye Long of Jackson, Tennessee, Uncles Bobby and Jerry Deaton of Shreveport, LA, and several cherished friends.
Ricky graduated from JCM where he excelled in football and track. He wrote music, played the guitar, sang and enjoyed playing with his band. Ricky was a man with many talents and loved his friends and family greatly.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be sent to Malesus United Methodist Church, 448 Old Malesus Road, Jackson, Tennessee 38301.
Mark and Kari Neff will have a celebration in honor of Ricky at their home following the service, close friends and family are invited.
Casual attire for the service and the celebration after the service are what Ricky would have wanted.
