He was born on November 9, 1958 in Gibson County to the late Willie Talley and Ellen Nesbitt.

James is survived by his son, Adrian Nesbitt of McKenzie; brother, Jimmy Nesbitt of McKenzie; sister, Linda Bolden of Milan; and one grandson.
