Mr. James Prater, age 69, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born on May 12, 1951 in Milan, Tennessee to the late James C. Prater and Clara Williams Prater. Mr. James was very involved in dog rescue at Companion Pet Rescue and Funny Farm Rescue.
He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Ann Prater of Jackson, Tennessee; son, Matthew Prater and wife Holly of Jackson, Tennessee; daughter, Heather Steele of Jackson, Tennessee; brother, Charles Prater and wife Corinne of Clarksburg, Tennessee; and two grandchildren, Alivia Prater and Collin Prater.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home.
In lieu of followers, the family requests that donations be made to Companion Pet Rescue or Funny Farm Ranch.
