Mr. James Edward Smith age 52 of Jackson, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born October 13, 1966 in Madison County to the late Willie Smith and Patricia Ann Buchanan Smith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a son, James Smith, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Reynolds Smith; two sons, Kevin Smith and wife Jamie and Hunter Smith all of Jackson; one sister, Devonna Gage of Jackson; three brothers, Richard Smith of Jackson, Jonathan Smith of Knoxville and Brian Smith of Jackson; two stepsons, Tommy Jones and Dalton Jones both of Huntingdon. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, Joanne, Serenity, Lil James, Kaleb, Ariel, Kayleigh and Riley.

Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be conducted Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Medina Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The Smith family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
