Jane “Janie” Brownlow Maloy-Putnam
Janie was a bright and spirited light in this world. She was full of fun, generosity, grace and love for others. Those she knew described her as warm, vibrant, graceful and elegant. She could light up any room, and never met a stranger. A woman that you could confide in and never feel judged. She had a heart to serve others and she did it extremely well. She was a dedicated social worker and advocate for the mentally ill. In Knoxville, Tennessee she served as President of Girl’s Cotillion, and was a member of 9 o’clock Cotillion and Junior League. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, with a degree in Social Work and Journalism, and was a member of the Chi Omega Fraternity. She loved literature, dance, music, travel and theatre. She served as a “Mama-Coach” to the Knoxville Catholic High School Dance Team. She leaves behind her 3 children, Catherine Camiolo (Stephen), Eliza Putnam and Patrick Putnam, that she loved relentlessly. Her husband, Pat Putnam, and sister-in-law Lyn Putnam. Her siblings, Edward Maloy, Gavin Maloy (Katie) and Jerry Olsen (Steve). Three grandchildren, Jonathan-James, Margaret-Sinclair and Benjamin-Emerson, as well as nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and countless friends. Visitation will be on 3/15/17, 12:00-1:30, at First United Methodist Church, Trenton, TN, followed by grave site service at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your charity of choice.
