Jimmy Pickard

Mr. James Doyle Pickard, "Jimmy", age 76 of Humboldt, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. 

He was born December 4, 1947, in Humboldt to the late JD Pickard and Evelyn Pruett Pickard. Mr. Pickard was a retired truck driver and worked for Mt. Pleasant Trucking. He loved to ride horses and was a sports fanatic especially when it came to his Tennessee Vols. Mr. Pickard enjoyed life, loved people and was known as a, "jokester". He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters, Buddy Pickard, Peggy Byrd and Gail Blurton. 

Mr. Pickard is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Wilma Autry Pickard; daughter, Christy Cooper and husband Jason of Dyer; son, Jim Moore and wife Jessica of Spring Hill; two brothers, Danny Pickard and wife Marie of Locust Grove, GA and Ray Pickard and wife Diana of Fort Mill, SC. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Jacob Cooper, Emily Cooper, Aden Moore and Allie Moore.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Pickard will be conducted Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home with Bro. James Denton officiating. The Pickard family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the service hour.
