Joe Marvin Blankenship, age 85, was born July 20,1927 in Gibson County, TN. He departed Friday, February 15, 2013, at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, TN.
Mr. Blankenship served in the U.S. Army and operated his own service station. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, parents; James Luther and Buella May Eddings Blankenship, son; Jim Blankenship, brother; Jerry Blankenship, and daughter-in-law Pam Blankenship.
Mr. Blankenship is survived by sons; Joseph Blankenship of Georgia and Tim Blankenship, daughter-in-law; Kay Simpson Blankenship, brothers; George, Freddy, and Carl Blankenship, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are 10 am Monday February 18, 2013 from the Chapel of Medina Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Chriswell officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Highland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, TN.
Visitation will be Sunday 5 to 8 at the funeral home.
