Joe Kinman, of Jackson, TN is in the care of Medina Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at Medina Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Joe was born July 27, 43 in Hodge, LA and departed this life on October 20, 2016 in Jackson, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Jessie Mae (Albright) Kinman; sisters, Gloria Nell Wotham, Shirley Kinman; and brothers, Jerry Wayne Kinman and Bobby Kinman.
Joe was an Air Force veteran, serving in the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed as a Deputy Jailer with Carroll County Sheriff Department for 15 years, and served 22 years as a TN Highway Patrol Communications Dispatcher. Joe’s favorite pastime was spending time with his 10-yr old granddaughter, Taylar. He would pick Taylar up from school every day, where they would often do their “rat killing” (AKA: shopping at Toys R Us).
Joe is survived by his daughter, Linda (Shannon) Shands; granddaughter, Taylar Shands, all of Medina, TN; sister, Marilyn Kinman McDonald; brother, Billy Eugene Kinman, both of Jackson, TN; numerous nieces and nephews.
