Joseph worked as a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army.
Joseph leaves his sons; Justin (Holly) Smith, Lucas Smith both of Newbern, TN, mother; Margaret Smith of Milan, siblings; Kim Stinnett of Chattanooga, Cindy Smith of Trezevant, Jan Hardin of Jackson, Beth Barnett of Bradford, Jeff Smith, Jerry Smith Jr both of Milan, grandsons; Cooper and Knox Smith.
He is preceded in death by his father Jerry Smith Sr., brother; Vince Smith, son; Jason Smith.
Visitation will be 2 – 3 pm Thursday July 5, 2012 with a Memorial Service to follow at 3 pm in the Chapel of Medina Funeral Home, with Chaplin Bruce Pigue officiating.
