Mr. Joel Lee Brown age 50 of Frog Jump, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in Crockett County.
He was born August 12, 1973, in Jackson to Robert Joe Brown and Janice Diane Privett Brown of Frog Jump. Joel appreciated being a farmer and enjoyed picking cotton and watching the crops grow.
A die hard Vols fan, he was enthusiastic about cheering on, "The Big Orange". Joel loved spending time with his grandsons and was an avid pool player and hunter. One thing that always immediately got his attention was when someone mentioned crawfish boil as he was always ready for one. Joel was a prankster, loved to cut up and never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, Joel is survived by a son, Tyler Brown (Courtney) of Alamo; daughter, Malee Barker of Frog Jump; brother, Robert Bradley Brown of Frog Jump as well as two grandchildren, Eli and Ty Brown of Alamo.
Serving as pallbearers are Mike Moore, Clint Moore, Joe Beard, Keith Riley, Brian Speight and Anthony Stallings. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Hollingshead, John Moore, Ty Conley, Chad McCanless, Brad McCanless and Jimmy Riley.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Joel will be conducted Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Alamo First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with the pastor, Doug Wede officiating. Burial will follow in Archer's Chapel Cemetery. The Brown family will receive friends at the church on Friday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and resume on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.
