John W. Gammons

John Gammons, Sr., age 76, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on November 14, 1948 in Bradford, Tennessee to the late John R. Gammons and Nancy Louise Gammons.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Arby Wayne Gammons and two sisters, JoeAnn Null and Peggy Ann Sharp.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannine Gammons; son, Johnny Gammons and wife Joy; daughter, Jackie Barron and husband Joey; sister, Arlene Gammons James; step sons, Noah Blackburn and Jacob Blackburn and wife Halee; step daughter, Nikki Blackburn; and three grandchildren, Miranda Fly and husband Jonathan, Megan Whitaker and husband Chase and Becca Blackburn; and three great grandchildren, Madilynn, Lucas and Everett.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home.
