Mr. John P. Growe, Sr.

Funeral service for Mr. John P. Growe, Sr., age 76, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Englewood Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Brent Lay officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

Mr. Growe died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was born in St. Louis, MO to the late Chauncey Leon Growe and Lucille Dunehew Growe Rossett and graduated from Keiser High School in Keiser, Arkansas. Mr. Growe was a veteran of the U.S. Marines; retired from the State of Tennessee, burial services division; former owner of his own Shelter Insurance office; former planner for the Boeing Company and Martin Company; was a of Englewood Baptist Church, Masons and Shrine.

Mr. Growe is survived by his wife, Linda Growe; mother, Anabelle Growe of Seattle, WA; son Johnny Growe and wife Rita, son Michael Growe, all of Jackson; daughter, Gina Growe and Dave Hustava of Springfield, IL; grandson, Ricky Stout of Springfield, MO; granddaughter, Darcey Fowler of Lexington, TN; brother, Don Growe of Whidbey Island, WA; sister, Lana Growe of Snohomish, WA; step-grandfather, Bill Rossett.

Pallbearers will be Donald Allen, Rusty Carson, Owen Henderson, Joel Pledge, Steve Smith, and Randy Staples.
