John L. Watson, Jr. of Dyer, TN is in the care of Medina Funeral Home.  The family will hold a visitation November 19, 2016 at New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dyer, TN from 2-3pm.  A Memorial Service will follow at 3pm at the church.

John was born on March 2, 1946 in Dyer, TN and departed this life on November 3, 2016 in Dyer, TN.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Leonard & Ruby (Glisson) Watson, Sr.

He lived in Dyer his entire life and was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church.  John was in the transportation field for many years.

John is survived by his wife, Sheila (Hayes) Watson of Dyer, TN;  children, Donna Buescher of Douglasville, GA, George Watson of San Francisco, CA, Joe Watson of Jackson, TN, Johnny Battle of Dyer, TN, Shannon (Kristy) Watson of Waco, TX, & Jo Lynn of Macon, GA; sister, Edna DePriest of Dyer, TN; 11 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild.
