Johnny Barnett

Mr. Johnny Wayne Barnett age 76, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at his residence.

He was born January 13, 1942 in Gibson County to the late William Rush Barnett and Bertha Ann Holder Barnett. Mr. Barnett was retired from the trucking industry having managed several companies over the years. He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott Barnett; brother, Bill Barnett; sister, Pansy Carothers.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Davis Barnett; two daughters, Leigh Ann Barnett of Jackson and Terri Knack of Johnson City; son, Ken Barnett (Lynn) of Spring Hill; nephew, Johnny Barber of Jackson; Other survivors include six grandchildren, Ryan Rogers (Holly), Lauren Harrell (Caleb), Morgan Craig (Will), Kendall Barnett, Landon Knack and Conner Barnett as well as two great grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Barnett will be conducted Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Medina Funeral Home with Bro. Steven Douglas officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Hospice of West Tennessee in memory of Mr. Barnett.
