Johnny Joe Ruelas, Sr.

Mr. Johnny Joe Ruelas, Sr. age 65 of Bells, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at his residence.

He was born August 30, 1958, in Gary, Indiana to Guadelupe Ruelas and the late Mary Alice Burkhead Ruelas. Mr. Ruelas worked in construction and was a United States Army 101st Airborne Division.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Belinda Flint Ruelas of Bells; four sons, Johnny Joe Ruelas, Jr. of Kentucky, Richard Allen Ruelas of Kentucky, Brian Daniel Thomas of Big Sandy and Gabriel Armand Ruelas of Bells; daughter, Jennifer Leann Maddux and husband Shane of Alamo; five brothers, Micha Ruelas of Kentucky, Roy Lee Williams of Kentucky, Guadelupe Ruelas of Columbia, Mike Ruelas of Kentucky and Fred Ruelas of Georgia; one sister, Rosanna Gardner of Kentucky. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, River, Caitlyn, Dakota, Michael, Isabella, Emma, Lily and Marlee as well as seven great grandchildren, Ava, Reid, Oliver, Grace, Isabella, Jackson and Hudson.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Ruelas will be held at a later date.
