Johnny Ralph Rushing

Johnny Ralph Rushing, age 54, of Milan, TN, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015.  He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed.

Johnny loved family, friends and life’s simple pleasures.  He had a charitable heart and a love for the great outdoors.  His favorite pastimes were fishing, gardening and tinkering.  He had an inherent ability to understand how things work and could repair most anything.  He has left a void that can never be filled.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Rushing; and his grandparents, Dewey and Annie Farrow, and Lloyd and Ruth Rushing.  He is survived by mother and step-father, Christine and Jim Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Kristi Rushing; granddaughter, Addison Rushing; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Pennie Rushing; sisters, Cecilia Von Mizener and Teresa Lambert (Kenneth); niece, Alicia Rushing; nephew, Joshua Rushing (LeaAnna); great-niece Livia Rushing and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First Assembly of God Church, 2049 N. Main St., Milan, TN.  The service will be officiated by Pastor Rick Waycaster. Visitation with the family will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
