Julian Thomas (Tommy) Settles, 50, of Friendship, TN, was born April 10, 1963, in Ademetta, California and passed away February 16, 2014, in Jackson, TN. Julian graduated from Vonore High School in 1981. He spent time in the Army, was stationed in Germany for some time, and then received an honorable discharge. After leaving the Army, he became a very dedicated truck driver for 8 years. He is the son of the Julian Paul Settles and the late Carmen Settles. He was preceded in death by sister: Ellen Settles, grandmother: Laura Mcmerree, and aunt: Wanda Lynn. His survivors include: brother: Jonathan Settles and sisters: Nancy Settles, Valentina Cruz, Lorena Settles, and Rebecca Arias. He also left behind two sons: Julian Reese and James Packen, daughter: Brittany Settles, grandson Braylen, and granddaughter Kelsea. Julian has left behind his best friend and soul mate of 8 years: Rose Hodges. He has many nieces and nephews, along with aunts and uncles. Pastor Loren Stephens will speak at his cremation, as well as, perform a memorial sermon on April 10, 2014, Julian's friends and family will be holding a memorial service in memory of the wonderful life he led.
