Margie Beard slipped her earthly bonds in the early hours of May 16, 2013.

Ms Beard age 75, was a homemaker and a member of the Latham Chapel Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Calvin Beard Jr., parents; Willie and Elvia Burcham Carey, brothers; Joe, James, Doyle and Lloyd Carey, sister; Donna Higdon.

Ms Beard leaves her children; Marie (Randy) Fewell of Cedar Grove, Calvin “Bo” (Sondra) Beard of Lavinia, Doyle (Mary Ann) Beard of Medina, Sandy (Ricky) Nichols of Lavinia, Linda Beard of Chattanooga, sister; Jewell Carey of Lavinia, brother; Jessie (Pam) Carey of Lavinia, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ms Beard was known for her wit and wisdom. She loved animals and rescued many throughout her lifetime. She had a gift for making beautiful flowers grow. A devoted spouse and mother for the majority of her life. She was most happy when all of her chicks were gathered beneath her wings. Though she has gone to her great reunion we gather to celebrate her life. Medina Funeral Home will conduct services 2 pm Sunday May 19, 2013 from Latham Chapel Baptist Church, with Bro. Tommy Stutts officiating. Burial will follow in Latham Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons; Jerry McLemore, Justin McLemore, Brandon Beard, Ryan Beard, Wesley Griffin and Eric Nichols.
Visitation will be 5 – 8 pm Saturday at the Funeral Home.
