Martha Eunice Barnes Green
Age 88 was born March 16, 1924 in Jackson, TN. She departed August 7, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Martha lived all her life in Jackson, and was proud to call it her home. She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church. Martha had a long career working for TVA. Then returned to work and retired from the Social Security Disability Administration.
Martha leaves her daughters; Debra (Ron) Divilbiss of Jackson and Lisa Holland of Byhalia, MS, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and sisters; Margaret Jane Cantrell of Jackson, Mary Ann Pickens of Houston, TX, and Peggy Sheffield Griffin of Fruitland, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Herman Grady Barnes and Margaret Sheffield Barnes, son; Gregory Leah Green, sisters; Doris Mae Whalley and Matt Sheffield Worboys, and brothers; Herman Grady Barnes and Tom Sheffield.
Memorial services will be conducted 4:30 pm Friday August 10, 2012 with visitation starting an hour prior at the First United Methodist Church in Jackson, TN with Dr. Cecil Kirk officiating.
