Michael Shatz

Michael Stanley Shatz, 59, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Jackson, Tennessee.

Michael was born in Union City, TN on August 19, 1961.  He graduated High School from Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN in 1979 and went on to attend University of Georgia where he graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree.

He is survived by his son Andrew Shatz of Atlanta, GA, and daughter Janilyn Shatz (Shelley) of Savannah, GA;  mother and husband, Elaine and Harrison Cagle of Georgetown, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Kirk Crites, of Charlotte, NC; and niece and husband Chelsea and Joshua Sheets.  He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvain Shatz.

There will be a small private service for immediate family only.

The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
