Mr. Mick Hinde, age 73, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2020 at his home after a long illness.

He was born on February 4, 1947 in London, England to Charlie Hinde and Elizabeth (Betty) Hinde.

Mick is survived by his beautiful daughter, Amanda Jane (Mandy) Hinde and grandson, Daniel Michael Callan both from London. Mick also leaves behind his adopted family and caretakers from the states, Mike and Gail Stavely, Jason Blanton, Mary Blanton, Emily Blanton, Hannah Horine, Anna Smith, and Jennifer Chessor. He always teased that Mary was his girlfriend.

In his early years, Mick made tools before he started his own taxi company while living in England where he lived until the last twenty years. Although he was shy, he loved telling stories about the famous stars he picked up in  the area and he also loved to meet new people. Mick was a true gentleman. After moving to Tennessee, Mick worked as a car salesman working for Victory Honda and Golden Circle Ford in Jackson, Tennessee. He loved his work family. Upon retirement from selling cars, Mick became an Uber driver until August of 2018.

Mick loved sports, especially English Football (soccer) Team Chelsea. He was in the trials for this famous team, but he never got to play due to a sports injury. Mick was an animal lover. He brought his german shepherd, Chelsea, from England when he moved here. His dogs were his companion during his time of illness. He found great pleasure in caring for the dogs. Mick was a member at White's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, Tennessee. He was saved many years ago and Bro. Bobby Keen had the pleasure of baptizing him into the church.

The family wants to send out a special thank you to the AsceraCare Hospice team. A special thanks to Mick's nurse, Janet Gibson and his aid, Sharonica King for everything.

Due to the present circumstances, a memorial service is not scheduled at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for those who would like to attend.
