Mr. Murray Wayne "Sparkie" Williams age 84 of Jackson, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, in Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born January 18, 1940, in Jackson to the late Joe Howard Williams and Elease Sanders Williams. Mr. Williams was a member of Oakfield Baptist Church and a Veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard.
Mr. Williams was an owner and general manager in the automobile sales industry for forty plus years. He was formerly active with the Jaycees. Mr. Williams never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to people. After retirement, he later worked for O'Reilly Auto Parts as a parts delivery driver. He loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers, Dot Witherspoon, Jean Ford, Charles Williams, Leon Williams and Emmett Williams.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Dot King Williams of Jackson; two sons, Tim Williams of Jackson and Shane Williams of Florida; sister, Betty Jo Ringold of Jackson; brother, Johnny Williams of Jackson as well as a granddaughter, Taylor Williams of Lexington.

There are no services scheduled at this time. A celebration of Mr. Williams' life will be held in Florida at a later date.
