Nell Robinson

Mrs. Nell Mae Forsythe Robinson, age 96 of Lavinia, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at her residence.

She was born on October 2, 1923 in Madison County to the late Ivy Forsythe and Bertha Crawford Forsythe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Robinson; one son, Jimmy Lynn Robinson; three brothers, Robert Gerald Forsythe, Joe Ed Forysthe, David
Ivy Forysthe and one grandson, Shane Green.

Mrs. Robinson was a devoted wife and mother and loyal to her Church and friends. She the oldest living member of her church, Hopewell Baptist Church in Lavinia, where she taught Sunday School. She was an active member of WMU, worked at Milan Arsenal and was a substitute teacher at West View Elementary School in Lavinia. Most knew her by her brilliant display of flowers and shrubs that canvased her yard. It was not unusual for drivers to stop by and take pictures of her beautiful yard. She will be remembered in a lot of special ways, but most will remember her by her kind heart and the love for her Lord.

Survivors includes one son, Jerry Robinson (Hilda) of Lavinia; three daughters, Janette Ingram (David) of Atwood , Jackie Robinson (Mike Hicks) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jill Green (Alan) of Lavinia and two sisters, Margaret Long of Jackson and Agnes Thompson of Eva. Other survivors include six grandchildren, Richie Ingram, Mandy Robinson Larson, Jody Robinson, Blake Green, Alex Green and Marlee Robinson; eleven great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Robinson will be conducted on Monday, March 2, 2020 in the Chapel of Medina Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Randy Boals and Bro. Robert Barger, officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Lavinia. The Robinson Family will receive friends on Monday, March 2, 2020 from Noon until the service hour.

Servings as pallbearers will be Blake Green, Alex Green, Noah Wilhoit, Jake Walker, Austin Goins and Richie Ingram.
