Norma Moses, of Mercer, TN is in the care of Medina Funeral Home. The family will hold a private burial at a later date.
Norma was born September 3, 1940 in Lordsburg, New Mexico and departed this life August 25, 2016 at her residence in Mercer, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband; Jerry Moses, parents; William Arthur & Beulah Morris (Ussery) West, and brother; Billy West.
Norma attended and was a member of Mercer Baptist Church. She made prayer quilts for Hospice and local nursing homes. Norma was the Southside High School All-Star basketball player from 1958-1959, and played for the woman’s basketball league in Memphis. Her children fondly remember never being able to match their mom’s ball skills on the court.
Norma is survived by her daughters; Sandy (Ricky) Hutcherson, Mercer, TN, Tammy (Merlyn) Stonehocker, Palm Bay, FL, son; Joey Stewart, Mercer, TN, sister; Becky Moore, Mercer, TN, brothers; Glenn, Paul and Bobby West, all of Mercer, TN, grandchildren; Jennifer, Ricky, Dustin and Jeffery, and great grandchildren; Wyatt, Ty, Kaydee, Jason and Riley.
