Patty Patterson

Patty Patterson, age 73, of Jackson, Tennessee, formerly of Rush County, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 31st, following her battle with cancer.

She was born in Milroy, Indiana on June 22, 1941. She was the daughter of Deryl Morgan and Maxine Morgan Percell. She attended Milroy schools and married her high school sweetheart, Bill, on December 21, 1957. They were married 57 wonderful years. She was a member of Milroy United Methodist Church. Patty was a homemaker early on in her children’s lives. She then went on to work at Minears, Neff Shoes and The Rushville Pharmacy until retiring in Tennessee with her husband.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Bill, and her children, Tammy Floyd (Bill); Jeff Patterson, Lorri Marshall (Jim) and Jason Patterson (Kim). 7 grandchildren, Doug Floyd (Courtney); Stefanie Montgomery; Lindsay Dietz (Michael); Jeffrey Patterson; Natasha Dillon(Logan); Devin Johnson and Oakley Patterson. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren along with 2 more granddaughters to join the family very soon.

Others left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Margie Robertson and Mary Jo Morgan. And her brother, Steve Morgan (Deanna), all of Rush County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one great granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 9th, at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory in Rushville, Indiana. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at the Richland Cemetery. Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Kirkland Cancer Center of Jackson, Tennessee.
