Memorial service for Rev. Arthur Eugene Leslie, age 83, will be held at 1 pm Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time.
Bro. Leslie died March 10, 2015 at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS.
He was born in Evansville, Indiana to the late J.P. and Bertha Condit Leslie. Bro. Leslie was very active with the Cumberland Presbyterian church and served as pastor for 60 years in Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois; was a board member of Bethel University in McKenzie, TN; was past president of the Medina Lions Club. Most of all, Bro. Gene had a love of helping people.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn Leslie; children, Max, Kathryn, Terri; daughter-in-law, Cheryl; sister, Jo Frickie and husband Curt; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy and his brothers and sisters.
The family request that memorials be made to Bethel University, 325 Cherry Avenue, McKenzie, TN 38201.
