Memorial services for Rickey Paul Ferrell, 65, will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 in the chapel of Bodkin Funeral Home with Medina Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation with the Ferrell family will be from 12 noon until 2 p.m. with the service starting at 2 p.m. Jack Joyner, close friend and neighbor will officiate the service. Rickey died September 8, 2014 peacefully at his home in Gibson. Born July 23, 1949 in Tipton County to the late R.E and Mary Ballard Ferrell. He was a 1968 graduate of Milan High School. Mr. Ferrell, former owner/operator of Milan Glass Shop for 18 years before selling it in 2000, was a master of all trades and a professional BS'er. He was a regular at Clenney's and if there is a Bob's Grill in Heaven, he's sure to be there solving all of the world’s problems. He also loved to deer hunt, run heavy equipment on his farm, gather with family & friends and enjoyed spending alot of his time with his grandchildren. He had many, many friends and anyone that knew him knows he was "One of a kind." Rickey was preceded in death by his parents and son Andy Ferrell; brothers, Roger and Randy Ferrell. He is survived by his wife, Christy Ferrell of Gibson; son, Charles (Chuck) Ferrell of Memphis; step children, Keri Coleman and husband Jason, Jed Walker; grandchildren, Jakob and Olivia all of Gibson; brothers, Mickey Ferrell and wife Donna, Terry Ferrell and wife Gail, Rex Ferrell; several nieces and nephews.
