Rosemary Watson Roberts

Rosemary Watson Roberts (92) passed away peacefully on the evening of August 31, 2024. She was born in Norman, Arkansas on January 10, 1932, the daughter of the late John Hasty and Zella (Milam) Watson. She was the middle of three girls.

Rosemary was preceeded in death by her loving husband, William Herbert Roberts, MD and her two sisters, Loujean Morgan and Billie Jacque Johnson.

Rosemary married William Roberts in 1952. She graduated from the Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1952 as a registered nurse. She and her husband moved to Jackson, Tennessee in 1956 and spent the rest of her years in the Humboldt and Jackson area. Rosemary brought smiles to all who knew and loved her. Always willing to help and very active. Rosemary loved spending time building floats for the Strawberry festival, gardening, volunteering, cooking, and Tennessee and Ohio State football. Most of all, she loved the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She spent her final years at the Regency Retirement Village in Jackson. The family sends its warmest thanks to the many caregivers and friends at Regency and Gentiva Hospice who treated her with their kindness and care. Thank you for being there for her and for us.

Rosemary is survived by her three children, Susan Roberts Cooper, John Roberts (Stephanie) and William L. Roberts (Paula Scarbrough) and five grandchildren, Elizabeth McFadden (Brad), Eileen Cooper, James Kerry Cooper III (Ellen), Harrison Sloane Roberts (Haley), and Rosemary Ivy Roberts. She also leaves six great-grandchildren, Julianna Grace Cooper, William Carter Cooper, James Roberts McFadden, Collin Luke McFadden, Nora Noelle Cooper and Emelia Rae Cooper.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Regional One Health Foundation (One Health program) or the charity of your choice.

A private graveside service will be held.
