Ruthie Mablene Woods, 82 of Dyersburg, died peacefully on March 9, 2015. She was a hairdresser for 25 years and helped many young people reach their potential in the hair business. She was a business owner and a giver to the community. Ruthie will be deeply missed by two daughters Brenda (Randy) Gullett of Spring Hill, FL; Robin (Greg) Bontrager of Dyersburg, TN; 6 grandchildren Dawn (Jace) McNeal of Jackson, TN; Justin (Kathyrn) Woods of Clarksville, TN; Shawnn (Jerry) Azevedo of Kearney, MO; Amie (Derek) Lusk of Chattanooga; Allie Naifeh of Memphis; and Erin Naifeh of Nashville. She also leaves behind 5 sisters, 1 brother, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Will and Millie Davis, a son Russell Woods, and 5 brothers. The family requests any act of kindness or donation be made to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis or the Alzheimer’s Association. A private graveside burial with immediate family will be on Wednesday, March 11 at Lebanon Methodist Church cemetery. The family will plan a celebration of Ruthie's life later in the year.
