Sarah served in the Navy during the Korean War. She was a nurse & a medic and she also taught CPR & community first responders. Sarah loved to travel. Every trip she would take, everyone knew that she would be starting that trip at 3:00am. She acted as a mother & father to her three children. Her family thought the world of her, saying she is “one of the best people”. She loved to fish, even though she never caught any. Being an animal lover, she would rescue any animal that came her way. Family & friends will always remember her as a jokester and a loving woman.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Gerard Murphy, Sr. & her parents, Rogers Reese Wooley & Ellen Jewell (Brockman) Wooley. She is survived by her children, Patricia Murphy of Reagan, TN; Ronald Gerard Murphy, Jr. of Atoka, TN; & Gail (Jeffrey) Pike of Atoka, TN; grandson, Matthew (Nicole) Pike of Drummonds, TN; and great-grandchildren, Hayden & Logan Pike of Drummonds, TN.
