Steve Allen Whitt, 67, passed away from this life on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. A celebration of life with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, June 27, 2022 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home in Medina, Tennessee with Pastor Larry Joe Ivey officiating. He will be laid to rest later at Cave Springs Cemetery in Attalla, Alabama.
Steve Whitt was born and raised in Attalla, Alabama. He was known to his family and friends as “Little Fellar”. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years then worked as a carpenter and crane operator. He spent a lot of time in Gary, Indiana where he met his beloved wife of twenty-five years, Noretta Mae. They then settled and spent the rest of their marriage living in Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Betty Whitt; brothers, Randy Whitt and Roger Hopkins; and his wife, Noretta Whitt.
He is survived by his two daughters, Amy Whitt (Stephen) Knight and Sonya Vickery; son, Eric Whitt; two stepdaughters, Michelle Stover, and Christina (Donald) Perrigo; stepson, William Robert Weaver, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Although Steve spent a lot of time in Tennessee, he was a huge fan of Alabama football. He also loved to spend time outdoors fishing and working on projects. He was a humble man who loved his family and friends. He loved to laugh and joke and never met a stranger. We will carry his memory in our hearts forever.
The family welcomes friends to attend the viewing at Medina Funeral Home on Monday from 11: 00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that plants may be sent to Medina Funeral Home.
